The Ballroom, in preparations.

The Paparazzi Walk, being green, for obvious reason. :P

Volunteered for the our company's very first TVB Awards @Ritz Carlton 2 weeks ago. I took time off from office in the afternoon. Sindy was supposed to go too but the day before, she was down with allergy after eating some prawns. Poor her. It was my 1st time participating in a big event & it was a good experience. Interesting to see so many TVB stars in a go! :D 10 of them came, including a few of my likes - Moses Chan, Steven Ma JunWei, Charmaine Seah, Sonja Kwok, Wayne Li Yaoxiang, Roger Kwok & Xue JiaYan.
I was stationed @the cocktail area with 1 of my colleagues, Beatrice. It was interesting to watch different people & we had a fun time commenting the attire they wore. There were a few people who walked to us & chatted with us, asking us questions. & so coincidentally, I saw 1 of my poly classmates, Kelly! with her hubby. I didn't quite notice intially till our producer colleagues asked to interview her. Oh my, she's still lovely as ever after giving birth to 3 kiddos! I wonder what her secret of youthfulness is. :P She didn't see me, well hard for her to do also as us staff all wore black. Haha! I wanted to call her but inconveniently to do so as I was on duty. Later on, I dropped her a message on FB & she replied. :)
The climax of the evening had gotta be when we saw Moses Chan walking pass us to go to the Gents! We both waved & said "Hello" to him & he responded! Cindy literally went crazy & kept excitingly tell us about it after that. We wanted to take a photo with him but the bouncer blocked us. :( I reckon coz he needed to go back to the ballroom asap. Oh well, it was a bonus indeed to see him face to face. He looked exactly like on TV, lost alot weight. Heard he's preparing for a role or something. Before the function commerced, we also managed to see Sonja Kwok, Raymond Lam & Fara Chen. Sonja Kwok is so lovely! But a bit too thin though. She's absolutely fair. Classic Eurasian look indeed. Our marketing dept colleagues managed to snap a photo with her.....we were all so envious!
We got the green light to leave @8.30pm. Off to dinner we go! We just had very early dinner around 5pm-MacDonald's. We went to PuTian Chinese Restaurant @Marina Square. There were 6 of us - Me, Rebecca, Cindy, Dolly, Looi & his wifey. The food overall was ok, not bad. We had a good time chatting away.
The day came to an end, I'm totally bushed! But happy. I hope to be to able to participate similiar events in future. :)

Macau, Here I Come!

I'm so excited! Ivy managed to book through Jetstar for our trip to Macau! :) Yippee! My 1st trip with her as well her ever outgoing & fun hubby, Bernard. I reckon we will hve lotsa fun shopping, walking, eating & taking pictures. :)

Will be going during the 2nd week of March, a month after Chinese New Year. I'm more looking forward to it than Chinese New Year, seriously. Haha! Coz CNY, typically annually, its the same old thingy. Other than the collecting of red packets, visitations to friends' house, nothing more that i look forward to. The most dreading thing is being 'interrogated' by family & relatives of the same old boring & predictable questions like "What & Where are you working now", "Do you have a boyfriend", "When are you getting married", "When are having children" :O If this is their so-called concern, sorry to say, I consider it 'overly-concerned'. Annoying. :( Concern should means giving ample space & breather to others. This year as usual, I will visit my relatives' house awhile together with my mum, Joan & the boys & give excuse to leave early with Joan. :P Smart me!

Okay, back to Macau. Ivy & I will be shopping for our upcoming trip, to have beautiful clothes to take pictures with. :D

Can't wait to have this restful break, have fun with my friends & just enjoy life! I certainly hope to have more travelling opportunities this year!

So Macau, Here I Come!

X'mas + New Year's Eve Dinners

Back to back, dinner with my buddy, Ivy & her hubby, Bernard. X'mas @Raffles Marina & then New Year's Eve dinner @Coffee Club & supper @T3.
X'mas dinner Bernard's mum joined us & she's a dear old lady. We enjoyed the dinner alot, though it was raining. :O But it stopped after we finished our yummy food & desserts. Thank God. :) Raffles Marina was beautiful. Ivy said daytime more so, could see the lovely yachts clearly. Good for photo-taking. She said we could go for breakfast next time. I would love that. :) Anyhow, we managed to take beautiful photos indoors.
New Year's Eve, dinner @Coffee Club, Holland V was simply good & enjoyable. The last time I came here was during my Birthday Celebration. Ivy specially picked there because of the ambience & peaceful setting, with lotsa privacy.
We had fun eating & taking photos. After that, we proceeded to T3. More phototaking sessions, abit of shopping & supper. Was absolutely fun going out with Ivy & Bernard. :)

1st movie of the year!

My 1st movie of the year - "Avatar" & a good choice indeed! :D Frankly speaking, when I 1st saw the trailer, it didn't really get me interested, instead I was rather skeptic. But after reading reviews about it & good feedback of the movie from friends & family, I decided to give it a go. & boy, was I not disappointed! I watched alone @Lot 1 Shoppers Mall & its been a long time since I last did that & the feeling was great - peaceful, restful & best of all, therepeutic! :) I guess @times we really need time to be by ourselves, to have our own space. Then, we will be able to think things through, sort out our thoughts, & enjoy the peace of solitary. Coz I realise sometimes there are too many voices surrounding us, be it family & friends, that we don't have time to look @things, to enjoy things, to see things @our own point of view. Some people fear of being alone because they feel lonely. But actually, a person who's surrounded by an entourage of companions can feel lonely too, feeling empty inside. Likewise, being alone doesn't mean that we are lonely. There are times for everything - time to be with someone, companionship, with our loved ones, time to be alone & for me, time to be with God. I need all these, they are equally important to me.

Back to the movie, now I fully understand why it took 15years for James Cameron to do this project. The grand & breathtaking graphics & effects really require very advanced modern technology in order to achieve it. Any compromising will not produce the same results. Cameron is really good @choosing his cast, perfect! Professional, versatile thespians, especially my favourite Sigorney Weaver. When her character 1st appeared, she seemed to be a proud, obnoxious, unlikable scientist. But later on, somehow she was more humanized- joined forces with Jake Scully to fight against the greedy human armies. Sam Worthington as Jake was ultra cool! He was made for the role, Director Cameron has chosen well. :) I observed that Sam has a total of 3 hairstyles in the movie - 1st one when he was @the morgue claiming his twin brother's body. 2nd one when he arrived @Pandora with a crew cut & the 3rd one, my favourite - his hair grew longer making him look very boyish with cleaned-shaven face....Ooooo...La...La! :P I find that he resembles a bit like another of my favourite actors, another cool dude, Ewon Mcgreggor. Sam is truly a very versatile actor. He was brave, fearless, cool & funny @times with a sense of humour, especially as his Avatar character. After clinching this role, he has lotsa thanks to James Cameron for swiftly after this, highly recommended by Cameron, he got to act alongside Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation with good reviews of his acting performance. He & Cameron are now good friends.

Overall, out of 5 stars, my vote - 4 stars! :D Its sure worth every cent & 15 years of long wait to come to this. Get ready for the Oscars! I'm predicting that it will win a few awards, especially in graphics, effects.

More good movies to come, please! :)

Church Camp

Had a restful break during the X'mas week going on church camp @Pulai Springs Resort M'sia together with Hannah. After our daytime teaching sessions, we had free time in our hands during the afternoon after lunch & we went to the Gym, jacuzzi, steam room & massage. Absolute shiokness! :D But the food-wise, wasn't that appealing to me though. I didn't have really appetite to eat much. & the 1st 2 days, I was experiencing indigestion & constipation. But thank God, towards the 3rd day, everything could 'flow'. Haha!
I pray for more opportunities to go on trips like this. :) Total rest for me.

Blessed New Year 2010!

Its the 1st day of a brand new year! Gosh, how time flies, in the twinkling of an eye, the year 2009 has ended & 2010 is ushered in. I've already set my foot in with anticipation! I can't wait for the good & new things that the Lord have prepared for me! :)

The 1st thing that I did on the 1st day of 2010 was to have my hair permed, dyed & facial. :P My hair is longer now & Auntie Baozhen was able to use different perm curlers for me. I requested my hair to be dyed orange brown. I initially wanted bright orange, after seeing the taiwanese Diva, A*Mei with it, she looks cool! But then, I thought toning down with another different colour would be a better idea, or else orange alone, would be erhem, too striking I reckon. Heehee!
Auntie Baozhen is extremely busy today, with many customers + her son & daughter-in-law along with their newly born. But as to save my time, after putting on the colour for my hair & while waiting for the colour to settle in, she had me to do facial, which was a good idea. Time-saving indeed. :) As usual, I dozed off in the middle & enjoyed a good rest, which I needed after a night's out with Ivy & Bernard.

So now I have a new hairdo & hair colour, a great way to kickstart a Brand New Year! Woohoo! Will post out a nice photo of my new hairdo soon! :)

A Blessed New Year, Everyone! God bless!
