A great Feasting day! :) Full of good food in my stomach & awfully full! After church service today, Hannah & I went to the nearby Paulaner Brauhaus Restaurant @Millenia Walk for the German Sunday Brunch Buffet. It was really a perfect timing as Hannah told me she has been wanting to dine there but couldn't find any friends to go with. Then coincidentially, one of my colleagues, Sindy was talking about the German food she ate during her European Honeymoon trip & Kenneth recommended this restaurant so here we were! Anyway, we reached there @ around 11.45am. We proceeded to the 2nd floor. There were already many people, mostly Germans, chilling out & bonding time with their families & friends. What a wide range of selection of goodies! There were sausages, pork knuckle, glazed ham, pretzel, mashed potato, salads desserts which included pastries, cakes, fruits, chocolate fondue & Movenpick ice-cream...yummy! Help! Help! My saliva was already drooling. :O We ate bit by bit, slowly savouring our food while chatting & fellowshipping with each other. I reckon this should be what life supposed to be, taking time to enjoy what we have, savouring every moment, rather than hastily just go through it. I must say I quite like the European way of life....it sure feels like Heaven!
By God's Grace, we were able to try most of the delicacies & fully-satisfied!
The food has yet to be digested now though....oh well, I get to skip dinner then. :P
I hope to have the opportunity to go to Deutschland one day to taste the real thing! Hehe!

DT in the House!
Okay, the much-awaited DT concert was finally here yesterday! I have only one word to describe it...ICHIBAN! With Two thumbs up! I enjoyed myself throughly & fully satisfied! :D He sang for a whole 3 hours, how good was that! Real worth the $$$!
Our seats had a really good & near view of the stage. The concert commenced 8.30pm sharp. DT was in a really good shape, I must say. Explosive start to the concert when he immerged from the rising platform! Cindy started to comment that his voice is real nice...which I totally agreed! crisp clear....sounded exactly as in the album! He is so talented, playing the guitars (both accoustic & electric)& keyboard, with a complete band on tow & 2 back-up singers. In between, he paused to chat with the audience. It really felt very intimate & its like he was chatting with his old buddies! I find that he is very earnest & genuine when he speaks, every word from his heart, not pretentious. Here he is, a multi-talented celebrity deemed the "R&B Godfather" who sold millions copies of his albums & won numerous major awards but yet could remain humble! Absolutely rare nowadays! Especially with all the singing competitions popping out so common these days...many so-called newbie singers are getting more 'artificial' & superficial, heavily packaged & commercialized with the obvious intention to suit, please & blend-in to the public's taste. Distasteful, if you ask me. We need more genuine & passionate talents who are tried & proven than hypocritical, fake wannabes.
Ok,back to the concert. DT changed 3 outfits altogether. The 1st two was a bit erhem....unsuitable for him, with the 2nd one, Cindy said he looked like clownish! hahah! Well, I find that the 1st one was rather alright but I couldn't say for the 2nd one though...I find he looked more like a magician with a bag full of tricks! LOL~! Oops! But I could see that he tried hard to look good. The last outfit (after Encore) is the best....T-shirt & jeans! Casual....a rock concert uniform!
I just sang along with him when he sang my favourite tunes. It was like a karaoke session...hhahaa! I could just be there forever....:P DT mentioned to the press before that he finds S'porean audience's applause is the shortest. Well, one better word to put it I reckon is absolute stinginess! hahah! I mean, I dun understand what is the reason that some people go to concerts? They should be participators, not only spectators! Unless you're watching a symphony, then I rest my case. I find that most S'poreans are being deprived of their emotions. C'mon, should just let go & enjoy! If not, sorry to say, go home to sleep would be definitely better! Gosh, Cindy was right- she find that especially for couples, they literally enjoyed being glued to their seats! Super glue perhaps...LOL. But yesterday crowd was getting better & a little different, DT put it. I hope its just gets better! :)
Overall, the concert was a complete success. The sound system was good, everything was in place, absolutely perfect! Though no flowery settings or guest appearance...I like it this way...simply pure good music! DT is all we need! & the best of all, we got our money's worth!

Good Therapy..!
Met up with my good friend, Ivy for lunch today. It was a last minute thingy coz' one of her students cancelled the tuition in the morning. So she had some free time before her next tuition in the afternoon. After a sumptuous meal @Jack's Place, I asked Ivy to accompany me to Esprit as I spotted a blouse which I rather liked. Browsing through,2 other blouses caught my eye. I tried on them all. I was pleasantly surprised that all 3 looked good on me. Coz' nice tops are just soooo difficult to find here in SG! I think the cutting has something to do it. In the end, I bought them all! :P I thought this should settle for the day. However, we passed by another shop & we just couldn't help ourselves from going in. Ivy tried on a few blouses & bought them all. Me,the sales assistant showed this very lovely brown flowery blouse & I just couldn't resist getting it! We felt extremely satisfied & were utterly delighted of our Harvest! No wonder people say that Shopping has a therapeutic effect...how TRUE! :D I'm a believer now!
Counting down to DT concert....1 week! :)

COOL New Specs!
Bought a new pair of specs...Finally! The old one looked really miserable & already in a terrible state, thanks to Lucius. :( He used his toy golf club to hit me, hitting my chin & specs. Ouch! Very naughty boy! I was really angry but withold my anger. My brother saw what he did & ordered him to sit on the 'naughty bench'.
The next few weeks was extremely hard to go by with my crooked specs. I couldn't really see clearly It got really bad with each day. But good thing, one of the Sundays, my buddy, Ivy was free & she accompanied me to the Optician. She helped me choose this new specs & I liked it alot...Cool! I told her that I wanted something with an outstanding colour coz I needed a change from the usual kinds. She chose a few for me & I decided to settle with this one with the green-coloured frame (picture, insert).
Cindy saw me with the new specs when we went to watch Maroon 5 concert. She was surprised & said not really used to see me wear such vibrant colour. hehe! I told her that I wanted a change, thats why I purposely chose this colour...hee! Violet commented it was nice too. :)
I still keep my old specs for memento...:P
HOT,HOT,HOT!
It's a HOT,HOt,HOt day today & I'm melting! I'm generally a 'cool' person than 'hot' person & I simply cannot tolerate HOT weather. :( (I must be born in the wrong country...sigh!) It really affects one's mood. Even just sitting alone, makes me perspire! Oh, man! The worst thing is that my air-con is down...yah @this time. I think I need a cool bath before i go to bed. If not, I can just hide inside the fridge..! (sure, if its big enough for me to get in. Haha!)
I was home the whole day, doing housechores in the morning. I was especially mindful after the washing machine wash (water tend to leak now from it recently, its a matter of time before it goes totally bonkers.haizzz...then gotta buy new one again.) & I hurriedly mopped the floor as I was really scared to fall down again...
Enactment:I was up early, getting ready to go for my facial & haircut. I saw the leaked water from the washing machine @the kitchen but ignored it. After awhile, as I walked to get some water to drink, my feet slipped...I thot "Oh No, thats it, I'm gonna fall, die liao~!". But the funny thing was I did not immediately fall, I just fell gradually, sorta in slow motion...feeling like infamous scene from "The Matrix" by Keanu Reeves! I still got time to think & prayed...haha! I just felt my leg being pulled gently & seconds later, I landed gently on the ground, with my head in vertical position coz' I was really mindful not to hit it. Amazing right...I still got time to think through my next step. Normally, when someone falls down, the impact is immediate, in few seconds. You got absolutely no time to think about anything or whatsoever. Thank God! Its definitely His protection! I imagined His angels busying putting my leg & body into place & safety...haha! Good thing, other than an aching body, my spine is intact. However, in that split second, I was extremely scared & freaked out & I felt out totally of control & the feeling was no choice but to just let myself fall. I thought I will end up in hospital for sure! Phew, what a relief!

Babysitting blues....!
(Linus & Lucius...pic taken by doting Auntie Janet..:P)
What a tiring day this has been...sigh! I babysitted my two very hyper & extremely mischievious nephews, together with my mum. I'm dead-beat now. The feeling is like running a marathon! :O After fetching Linus (my elder nephew) from his weekend learning school "I Can Read", we stopped by Lot 1 for awhile for a snack, then we took the boys for a MRT ride to Boon Lay. In between, Linus & Lucius (the younger one) behaved absolutely like monkeys, (I have no better word to describe them)running here & there. I had no faintest idea where their ooze of energies came from! Chase here & there...like a mad woman...dah! These two little rascals can be quite a handful @times. They will try to challenge my patience, with the intention to provoke me. Linus, especially today. My mum said that he woke up in the middle of the night looking for his dad & couldn't sleep. That explained the crankiness. He was totally unreasonable, uncorporative & impossible. My anger arose several times & just shouted @him. He just gave me that sort of smirk look, which is totally annoying!
After lunch & creating havoc @our place, we took them home. & thank God, the boys napped! @last, some peace & quiet! :) My sis-in-law came home shortly & off we went....home!
Although the boys can be quite a headache sometimes, they can be funny & adorable as well! The way they speak, the way they call me, the way they make me smile & laugh...makes me forget all my problems. :)
But I cannot imagine myself being a mother in future....I Need Patience! Haha!

Lotsa Good Gigs!

I just realized that there are numerous concerts this year. When I say the 2008 is a year of concerts, I'm sure nobody will disagree with me. After a gap of more than a decade, I finally got to attend a concert last year with my pal, Cindy. It was Gwen Stefani's. It was an enjoyable show with a ultra hyper Gwen! @the beginning, the crowd's response was rather lukewarm, I must say. A few couples whom I saw were literally glued to their seats, as if they were watching SSO or some sort of LOVE movie. Are they sure they are @the right place??? :O I mean, Hello, with a hyper Gwen Stefani concert & all the songs that get us boggie-ing, who on earth in his/her right mind would sit down thru'out the entire concert? For one thing, I couldn't help but boggie along with the music! The climax came when Gwen suddenly came down from the stage & stood @ the platform near the sound mixer programming equipment. She then sang "COOL", one of my favourite songs. All of us were caught in such a surprise that we kept screaming & cheering! She then mingled with the fans & shook hands with them! WOW! But we were quite far away...sad! The concert ended 10.15pm....too short! We want more!
Then during January, another of my favourite artists, Jay Chou came for a 2 night concert. I was extremely delighted & was planning to go but it turned out most tics with good seats were snatched up by overly-enthusiastic fans via the priority OCBC credit card! :( Darn unfair! I was utterly disappointed!
But thank God for more gigs. I was able to attend the Maroon 5 concert with my buddy, Cindy again. One word to describe it...AWESOME! The band could REALLY play LIVe so darn well! The chemistry between them, I mean, was amazing! No wonder they are winners of the recent Grammy Award of "Best pop performance". They truly deserved to win! :) Their performance was utterly electrifying! I was enjoying every minute of it, especially the loud, mean sounds of the electric guitars played by the lead singer, Adam Levine & guitarist, James Valentine. While i was 'electrified' by the band, my good friend was completely mesmerized & 'electrocuted' by Mr Levine's cool & sexy charm...hahah! LOL! I better dun laugh @her leh... coz' if I see my favourite WM, I think I will be equally hysterical as her! HOHOHO! Overall, we had a great time but the only complaint (& I'm sure I'm not the only one)was that it was too short...again. Its like you spent so much but yet not completely satisfied. Sigh! Maroon 5, please be back again...coz' we Won't Go Home Without YOu!
Gosh, is this getting too long? Oh the heck!
Coming right up...David Tao concert! Cindy & I went to his concert tic autograph session last Sunday @The Central. Ulu Sunday afternoon. But as both of us had sufficient rest the day before, we decided to go. We got the tics so should just go ahead! So there we were,in the queue around 3.30pm, with the session scheduled to commence 4pm. We shopped awhile before that.
DT was late! (as if unexpected. most stars are expected not to arrive early) Cindy & I were already feeling rather restless & tired. Finally after 40mins, Mr Tao arrived! FINALLY, after a long & tiring wait. DT went on chatting with the host about his upcoming concert 1st & proceeded to the moment we've been waiting for...AUTOGRAPH SESSION! Good thing we were within the 1st 100 fans, we got the concert poster! yippee! Cameras were flashing we queued in line to wait for our turn. The queue was so fast that I didn't realize its my turn. My heart was thumping extremely fast as I got nearer to DT! Oh my gosh! I was so nervous! The security guard passed my poster & concert tic for him to sign. He looked up @me & greeted me a warm "Hello". Eye-contact. I nervously greeted back. He was soooo polite! I suddenly realized that he already finished signing & he stretched out his hand. I immediately shook his hand & wished him his concert a success. He thanked me. :) We managed to take few of his photos after that. Cindy mentioned afterwards that no wonder DT is so popular amongst ladies! Ladies' man! I reckon it must gotta alot to do with the environment he was brought up in. For one thing, how I wish all guys to be as gentlemanly as him!....especially my future hubby!
Alrighty, countdown to DT concert- 2 weeks.
I'm proceeding to dreamland now.....yawn....hope to see DT in my dreams....or WM....or....zzzzzz....
