X'mas Party, Games, Food & Lucky Draw

Went over to our Ubi office for our annual X'mas celebration. Good food, games & prizes. The hightlight of the day was that I suddenly became the 'heroine' during game time of our team. Hoho! A whole of around 80 were playing The Guessing Games - Guess the actors/actresses. My heroic act came during Guessing the Opening of the song. My favourite segment coz I'm a music buff! :D Fiona, 1 of our colleagues asked me to go over to the front since I'm good @guessing the songs. & off I went. The 1st song that rushed over to guess was 1 of my favourite songs @the moment - None other than Lady Gaga's "Pokerface". BINGO! Initially there were two mikes but in the end, left one coz 1 of them suddenly gone dead on us. & so with 1 miserable mike, the very aggressive kiasuism started setting in. This time round, many people literally just grabbed the mike off the MC. :O I thought to myself, "OMG, I dun want to resort to that." After missing out on a few songs coz obviously, of the grabbing, which I definitely didn't want to be involved in that, I heard two of the familiar songs & I jumped @the chance to shout out my answer. But before I could do that, I felt somebody already wanting to grab my mike, I held onto it with my dear life, not wanting to let go. I mean, why should I? I got it 1st & no way am I letting go. I held on with both of my hands, like a praying gesture now that I recalled, haha! Ok, the pushing didn't stop & I was literally pushed to the floor but before I fell, I shouted out the answer with my last breath "TIME AFTER TIME"!!! All were shocked & the MC lifted me up & everybody was concerned if I was ok, which thank God I was. :) The next song was 1 of my favourite songs too- Sting's "Fields of Gold" & I rushed immediately with the correct answer without any competitors...hehe! I was rather pleased with myself. After i got back to my seat, my team members were grateful for my 'risk of life' for our team, haha! In the end, after final count, we won with 1 point ahead of the other team! Everybody in my team shouted "Janet, Janet!!!". I was quite malu & gestured two 'victories' signs...:P

Though I didn't win the big prize in the lucky draw, with only a $30 Taka Voucher, which was not bad also, I enjoyed myself to the max! :) Later on as I shared with Hannah, she said that she find that I'm a master @games & this is one of my talents! :D Yeah, I enjoyed playing games alot & I'm able to excel in it coz I like to have fun, Gals just wanna have fun! :P

Seoul Time, New Moon

Had an enjoyable sumptuous lunch @Seoul Garden with Ivy last week. Gosh, the last time I dined @there was like donkey years ago! I remembered it was after the ROM of my secondary school friend, Yunfeng. She treated us lunch. We lost touch ever since. I prefer it that way though coz' we lead very different lives. Anyway, thank God I have the membership card which entitled to 10% discount & we just had to pay $20 each! & ate a whole lot! Till our stomachs' contents! :D

After a heavy luncheon, we proceeded to watch "New Moon". The 2nd instalment, what can I say? One word: Disappointment. :( 1st of all - a change to director from female to male. The 1st director was so good & the 2nd one, couldn't really keep up, stayed & focused on with the same direction. It sort of goes a bit haywire, where's the definite focus? It didn't sort of fit together, with bits & pieces, if you ask me. After watching, many question marks  on my head. Ivy & I feel something is missing. She feels more coz' she read all the Twilight books. I wonder how are they gonna shoot the 3rd instalment? With same director or a change again? Please have the 1st one back! Save it! For the fans' sake! :O

After the movie, we encountered a funny incident: we were on the way to Metro when 2 tall black men walking infront of us. As we walked pass, they kept looking @us & both of them perhaps wanting to give way to us, suddenly 'separated' like God parting the Red Sea in the Bible...haha! As they walked pass, I heard one of them said "Sweet Woman" in a very African accent. I wanted to giggle but suppressed it. I walked on without turning back. Later on, as I told Ivy, we burst into laughter! Us two, "Sweet Wo-Man". Giggle.

Buddies Weekend out

After celebrating Bella Sindy's birthday with a smashing ladies night, proceeded to celebrate Meiling's birthday. Cindy-san managed to meet us too. A sweet reunion of the 3 of us! :) We went to our favourite The Ship Restaurant to dine. Food & service was as good as ever, & best of all, affordable! :P

Afterwards of which, we went shopping. Passed by Takashimaya & saw this huge LV bag...cool! & we couldn't resist but to take a couple of photos. It was ultra fun! :D & I simply love my lovely white dress...hehe! I'm glad that I bought it with Ivy @Metro

I'm so thankful that I always have friends to chill out with. :)

Oh smoochie smoochie for birthday gal Meiling from Cindy!

Long Live the King...do I look like Elvis...hehe!

Guess what, I'm the 1st female astronaut to land on the          Moon...oh goodie!

Some fun snapshots taken with Meiling's old h/phone. So funny!  I realize I certainly have a very definite comical look, haha! Talking about Candid Camera! :P

X'mas cheer & break

I finally managed to post out Bee Kim's pressies. @last! :D It was a good idea to include a X'mas pressie for her, I'm sure she'll be very happy. A set of lovely earrings & necklace as her birthday present made by Violet & a pink colour snake skin coin purse I bought from Tangs...perfect combo! I do hope that she's able to receive it in time before X'mas.

Time passes too fast these days. In the twinkling of an eye, before I know it, X'mas is here & all set for a brand new year! Oh gosh! I looked back, its like I didn't really accomplish much this year. But thank God, a significant change for me, in terms of outwardly. :) I'm looking forward for new things to come in 2010~!

Be going to to M'sia @church camp in about 1 week's time. I'm looking forward to it! I really need a good break, I'm just tired from the worries of daily life.
:( I do hope for a refreshing & relaxing time. :D

Wedding Gathering, Fun!

Attended 1 of my colleagues, Emmeline's wedding dinner last Friday, which was a public holiday - Hari Raya Haji. It was more like a Starhubbers' gathering, haha! It was held @Meritus Mandarin Hotel. The food was non-fantastic, cold food. :( I reckon 60 tables had something to do with it, that many guests & tables to serve! :O
I realized Singaporeans have a pretty bad habit to not reach on time for wedding banquets. As 'normally', dinner commenced 8.45pm. If not for the big company that I have, I bet I would be bored to death! While waiting for the food to arrive, 'rotting' to myself. haha! I was arranged to sit together with Cindy & her schedulers & writers colleagues, most of whom I know. While Sindy was seated together the previous Chinese Content team. Whilst waiting for the 2nd dish - Shark's Fin soup to arrive, us ladies went out to take photos. We had lotsa fun with it. :P
Emmeline looked absolutely gorgeous & lovely in her wedding gowns. Gabriel, her hubby looked smart too. I reckon all brides look the most beautiful on their big day. I wonder how I will look like on mine though...:P But if I have a choice, I wouldn't want to have such huge banquet, I would prefer to invite my closest friends & family to celebrate the happy occasion together.
The dinner ended late, as 'usual' @about 11+. I reached home 12+...Cinderella! :P Thank God for a long weekend!
