Critics had it saying that the FIfty Shades movie is nothing but a porn film but I beg to differ. Actually, the author E.L James added that the readers will sympathize with the tormented Oh so Fucking Hot Christian Grey. There’s a reason for everything, including one’s behaviour. Christian Grey was physically abused as a child by his drug addict mother’s pimp that made him avoid human touch and affection. & his twisted way of pleasure/sex was heavily influenced by his paedophile foster mother’s friend, Elena Lincoln aka Mrs Robinson (Nickname Anastasia gave her. :P) . He was seduced by her & introduced to the world of BDSM at the tender age of 15. He became her submissive for 6 whole years. Oh Gosh! :O & that moulded him the way he became. Really 50 shades of fucked-up as Christian himself puts it.. * Sweat plus faint. :P
So The 2nd novel dealt with Christian Grey’s
inner demons, showing several sides of him – the tormented side, the playful
side, the controlling side, the vulnerable side, the more human side learning
to receive and give love from his love, Anastasia Steele, and of course the
sexy side. :D So, he asked Anastasia to come back to him & was willing to
re-negotiate terms this time round – no rules, no punishment, no secrets. He
was willing to try out a ‘vanilla’ relationship, which In short is a normal
kind of relationship. 😊
Anastasia, however, had to deal with more than she bargained for, 50 shades,
Christian’s ex sub, Leila & her pervert psycho boss, Jack Hyde. :O Personally
draining for her, if you ask me. There’s so much a person can handle. But our
protagonist is a strong & brave woman. In the 1st novel, she was innocent,
curious virginal college student & was brought into the dark world of BDSM
by Mr Adonis Sex God Christian Grey. In the 2nd novel, she grew quite abit,
together with Christian. & all these the span of like few weeks. Gosh! So
much happened. Only in novels, dramas I reckon. *sweat. :D
Fifty Shades trilogy no doubt is as the author E.L James, her fantasies as she puts it. But she definitely has a vivid imagination, she is able to put together an interesting trilogy story content of love, suspense, humour and adventure. There's not a single dull moment for me as a reader, I simply keep going. :D I especially like the email banters between Anastasia & Christian, I sometimes giggle to myself while reading. :D
I'm in the midst of reading the last book "Fifty Shades Freed" now. I reckon I will experience withdrawal symptoms when i completed the trilogy. Sob! :P
