Fifty Shades Darker

Critics had it saying that the FIfty Shades movie is nothing but a porn film but I beg to differ. Actually, the author E.L James added that the readers will sympathize with the tormented Oh so Fucking Hot Christian Grey. There’s a reason for everything, including one’s behaviour. Christian Grey was physically abused as a child by his drug addict mother’s pimp that made him avoid human touch and affection. & his twisted way of pleasure/sex was heavily influenced by his paedophile foster mother’s friend, Elena Lincoln aka Mrs Robinson (Nickname Anastasia gave her. :P) . He was seduced by her & introduced to the world of BDSM at the tender age of 15. He became her submissive for 6 whole years. Oh Gosh! :O & that moulded him the way he became. Really 50 shades of fucked-up as Christian himself puts it.. * Sweat plus faint. :P

So The 2nd novel dealt with Christian Grey’s inner demons, showing several sides of him – the tormented side, the playful side, the controlling side, the vulnerable side, the more human side learning to receive and give love from his love, Anastasia Steele, and of course the sexy side. :D So, he asked Anastasia to come back to him & was willing to re-negotiate terms this time round – no rules, no punishment, no secrets. He was willing to try out a ‘vanilla’ relationship, which In short is a normal kind of relationship. 😊 Anastasia, however, had to deal with more than she bargained for, 50 shades, Christian’s ex sub, Leila & her pervert psycho boss, Jack Hyde. :O Personally draining for her, if you ask me. There’s so much a person can handle. But our protagonist is a strong & brave woman. In the 1st novel, she was innocent, curious virginal college student & was brought into the dark world of BDSM by Mr Adonis Sex God Christian Grey. In the 2nd novel, she grew quite abit, together with Christian. & all these the span of like few weeks. Gosh! So much happened. Only in novels, dramas I reckon. *sweat. :D

Fifty Shades trilogy no doubt is as the author E.L James, her fantasies as she puts it. But she definitely has a vivid imagination, she is able to put together an interesting trilogy story content of love, suspense, humour and adventure. There's not a single dull moment for me as a reader, I simply keep going. :D I especially like the email banters between Anastasia & Christian, I sometimes giggle to myself while reading. :D

I'm in the midst of reading the last book "Fifty Shades Freed" now. I reckon I will experience withdrawal symptoms when i completed the trilogy. Sob! :P

No Running From Me - Toulouse (From Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack)

No Running From Me by Toulouse was played 2 times in the movie - The 1st was when the italian hairstylist, Franco was doing Anastasia's hair & Christian was watching. I find the track with an amusing twist in it in the scene, so darn appropriate. & the other scene was when Ana & Christian were playing pool. :D

Sia - Helium (Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack)

And from the 2nd movie, this is my one of my favourite tracks. Heartfelt singing by Sia. The track was played when Anastasia was walking down the streets alone feeling overwhelmed.

Vaults - One Last Night (From The "Fifty Shades Of Grey" Soundtrack)

Another of my favourite soundtrack from the movie. It was played during the Glider scene. I thought it was purely music & was pleasantly surprised to know that it was an actual track. ;)

Sia - Salted Wound (From The" Fifty Shades Of Grey" Soundtrack)

Not only I enjoyed the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, the soundtrack is great as well! ;) Other than my favourite tracks sang by my one of my favourite artists as well -Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding,  I especially like Salted Wound by Sia. It was played when Anastasia & Christian 1st made love. OMG it sounded super sexy & appropriate for the scene. :P It was from the movie that I got to know the artist, Sia & I must say that she has a very unique voice. The songs she sang are so heartfelt. She has a new fan in me. ;)

Fifty Shades of Grey

My blog has been 'lying dormant' for a year+ now & I decided to bring it back to life again. & my 1st entry after like more than 12 months has to be none other than a sexy & HOT subject. :P

Jamie Dornan simply fit the character of the Adonis, beautiful, charming, control freak & tormented billionaire, Christian Grey. <3 b="">
Sizzling chemistry between the 2 leads, Jamie Dornan & Dakota Johnson

The 'signature' biting lip from Anastasia Steele which totally turns Christian Grey on. :P

Well, frankly speaking, I never thought that I would be interested in this Erotic romance trilogy written by E.L James. :D Initially when "Fifty Shades of Grey" was released on Valentine's Day 2015, there was a lot of Hooha, controversy & media frenzy surrounded it, in particular of the raunchy sex scenes & the topic of BDSM. Celebrities like Madonna dismissed it as being too tame of her expectations of the BDSM scenes in the movie. A friend of mine said throughout the whole movie, she only remembered the lead female character, Anastasia Steele (played by Dakota Johnson) constantly biting her lips. Negative reviews like these had quite an influence on me & I had the impression of the movie as well as the Erotic novel being distasteful & boring, nothing but a "Mummy Porn" as it was described.

2 years later, I finally decided to watch it & the 2nd part of the trilogy "Fifty Shades Darker". Why, you may ask? Call it curiosity. ;) I wanted to know what all the hooha was about. I must say that I actually enjoyed the 2 movies & its not that bad at all as what some people described it to me. Its not as if its distasteful & senseless porn, it had a storyline to it. A love story. Both movies were well-directed with perfect cast, especially the 2 leads. Jamie Dornan - with smoky smouldering and intense grey eyes and copper tousled hair totally fits the bill as Christian Grey. Dakota Johnson is radiant as the protagonist Anastasia Steele, with her blue eyes, pale skin and thin and slender shape.  Oh my, I love her long legs! She is so leggy at 1.71m. I think because of her tall height, it actually didn’t quite show Jamie Dornan’s equally tall height at 1.83m. I am thinking Anastasia Steele should be around 1.65-1.68m. Coz the emphysis on 50 Shades Mr Grey gazing down at her a lot in the novel.

The sex scenes were tastefully filmed unlike in the korean movies where the sex scenes were like watching HORROR movie. :O No foreplay, immediate thrusting or should I say just zoom in to fucking…oh God. Fucking Hard. Distastefully, if you ask me. I wouldn’t find sex appealing after watching that.

After watching the 2 movies, it sparked my interest to read the book actually as I wanted to know the story indepth, coz normally the film would cut out many scenes in order to fit in the 2 hour viewing time & also for dramatic effect :) Oh my, the book is much more graphic & raw especially in the BDSM part which is crucial, which unfortunately, the movie fails to deliver. :( I now understand why critics mentioned that not enough sex scenes in the movie. The 1st book of the trilogy is actually the most important. In my opinion, if you wanna film an erotic movie like this right, just go all the way without reservations. ☹

The 2nd movie "Fifty Shades Darker", made substantial improvements & this I must say, is much better crowd pleaser than the 1st one. ;) More interesting sex scenes & seemed to dare to explore further as compared to the 1st one. I wonder is it because of the the numerous feedbacks from the novel fans or is it because of the change of director & screenplay or both? But I'm really glad that the author, E.L James was called in to be the producer which is vital as this to her, portray as much truth & accuracy to the book as possible. :)

I can't wait for the final of the trilogy "Fifty Shades Freed" to be released next year Valentine's Day. I'm so gonna watch it! Laters, baby! ;)

P!nk - What About Us

Has always like P!nk's vocals & unique style of music, no exception of her latest single.

I especially like one part of the lyric of the song that somehow I can relate to.

"We have problems that want to be solved, we have children that need to be loved".

Especially the 2nd part of it, where it reminds us that there are many neglected children whom need our attention & love. I don't particularly adore children & good at coaxing them like some women do, I'm quite neutral actually but I feel for children who are abandoned, neglected and loveless.

But recently, I felt that God had been nudging me & giving me opportunities to kickstart the Children Ministry that He calls me for. :)
