Birthday Queen

Top:Mdm Lim with the 2 little princes, below:Lucius.

Goodness me, the weather is getting real HOT that it has become unbearable! Oh Gosh! S.O.S! I was just basically feeling so fed-up & frustrated that I'm having a headache! :( Tried to get on writing for the sermon blurb but without success coz' the heat was really getting to me. Ow! No air-con @home! I thought would have a restful day but it was not so. :/ I wonder how long the scorching weather will remain. I would prefer to be in the office if thats the case...with the cooling air-con.

Anyway, yesterday celebrated my okasan's (or Queen Mother/Mdm Lim I would prefer to call her...haha!)61st birthday. She has lived through half a century....ooooh thats something. Last Sunday, we just celebrated Mother's Day for her. Double blessing! I bought a Belgian Chocolate Divine cake from Prima Deli for her. I didn't know that it contained a tiny amount of liquor until we had it. But it was quite good, anyhow. :) I met up with my family with the two boys @IMM Long Beach Seafood Restaurant. Lucius & Linus greeted me joyously. Business was good @the restaurant considered the the packed crowd. After ordering our food, while waiting, I took Linus to watch the wide varieties of LIVE seafood, which a few would end up on our dinner plates. Lucius upon seeing us, wanted to join in the fun & pretended wanting to answer for nature's call but his Papa & Mama saw through his tricks. Haha! He was very disappointed & kept wining. In the end, he just gave up & no choice but to watch from his baby chair.

The food was fresh-Chilli Crabs, Prawn Herbal Soup, Sour Honeyed Pork, Peking Duck, Fried You Tiao & we were overally very satisfied. Full!

After that, my bro drove us back home & time to eat cake! The two kiddos were really excited as usual & they absolutely enjoyed the whole procedure- putting candles, lighting up, sing birthday song, blow & cut the cake. Mdm Lim was extremely happy & all smiles. We took a few photos, each with a piece of the cake. Good thing, Lucius loved the cake, though it contained a teeny weeny bit of liquor, but the taste was quite obvious though. :O

This is gonna be a long weekend break....yippee! :)

Gonna turn in early. Hopefully I'll be able to wake up early to go jogging tomorrow.

Feastful Day!

After a dead-beat day yesterday, woke up early this morning to go church. Oh gosh, I just felt not rested enough.

It was a good service, @Indoor Stadium. Celebrating two wonderful occasions- Israel Independance Day + our Pastor's birthday. :) After the service ended, Hannah & I rushed off to have our lunch & Bugis. We dined @Seafood Harvest. We ordered the Seafood Combo...quite good. A bit of everything. Our stomachs were full by then. OOOhh....hahhaa! I thought my stomach wouldn't have room anymore & comtemplating to skip dinner. But it was not to my plan....later on, after a satisfying nap, my bro suddenly called up & asked us out for dinner! An impromptu arrangement to celebrate Mother's Day. So here I was, off to yet another feast again! Initially my bro suggested to go Thai Village Restaurant but after arriving there, then we saw that it was fully packed. Good coz' my heart & stomach was more to the 2nd option, the Japanese Restaurant @Fairway Club. :) God knows my desire....hohoo! We've been here before, the food was scrumptious & I loved it! As I was still quite full,I ate a bit here & there, just for the taste of the cuisine. So in the end, my stomach was just nicely filled. :)

Really an eventful & feastful day! Eat, drink & be Merry!

Now, I just wanna jump onto bed to zzzzz. Tomorrow a brand new work week....but, but I haven't really rested....oh man! :(

Dinner afterthoughts

Came home really late yesterday pass midnight after Anita & Dovan's wedding dinner. One reason the location is @ a rather incessible Rasa Sentosa Resort is one thing. Another reason, was because of the rather predictable late commencement + slow serving becoz' of shorthanded of waiters. Therefore, late ending was inevitable. The food was somewhat as normal as you would expect from most wedding banquets. The lighting of the ballroom was really dim & I was feeling darn sleepy becoz of that. :O But thank God, I was seated beside Hannah & we had a good time chatting + with the gals as well. It was more like a mini caregroup gathering! :) It was nice seeing fellow caregroup members in an occasion as this. & the lovely bride, Anita looked absolutely stunning in her gowns (she don a total of 3), great figure! :) As for Dovan, I heard from Hannah that he lost weight becoz' going back camp for Reservist. Well, just nice then...for his big day...haha! He looked good too. Hope he will maintain even after marriage coz' most guys that I know of, including my bro, tend to take for granted & put on quite a considerable kilos of weight. Good thing, my bro managed to lose those unwanted kilos after few months of consistence exercise & diet control. Coz' he was really obese & had mild high-blood pressure & he was so freaked out!

Well, for the newly-wed couple, my well-wishes for them...an everlasting & blissful marriage & may the good Lord bless them! ;P

Finally....Favourite show!

Finally after a long & slow wait, my favourite show- Prison Break Season 3 on ch 5 now! :D It seems forever. I tried to watch online a few episodes but somehow, it feels different watching on TV coz' for one thing, the screen is definitely bigger...haha! & online, normally you can only watch clip by clip, not all in one run. However, don't need to fret about the commercials but on TV, constantly. Well, Pros & Cons. Now I learn to fully utilize my time during the commercial breaks...:P

PB Season 3, Michael Scofield is back in Prison, with the worst of them all- the notorious Panama Prison. This season is the shortest compared to the previous 2. Many people been speculating that this might be the end of the hit series but recently, I read in the entertainment news that the lead actor, Wentworth Miller (my favourite!) has signed on for a 4th season....Great news! But sadly, Sarah was dead in this latest season coz' many fans including myself, been waiting to see more of them, sort of a hopeful ending. Our hopes were crushed! :( I wonder will Michael get a new love interest in the next season? Well, we gotta wait & see. Overall, I got to say that Season 1 is still my favourite coz' the beginning somehow, is always the best! (WM looked ultra cool & he just grasped the role so well with his signature intense look.)Just like most singers with their debut album...the same reason.

*Cindy already flew off to U.S yesterday. Gosh, I'm already missing her! Haha! She sms-ed me @the airport. I pray she'll have a fun, safe & blessed trip. & with lotsa goodies for me when she's back....hohoo! I really, really hope it will my turn next to go on Holiday...:) Ivy had asked me to join her & her hubby, Bernard to Spain either December or next March. Well, by God's Grace, I do hope I'll have the $$$$ to go.

*Later attending one of my church mate's wedding dinner...believe it or not...in Sentosa! @Rasa Sentosa Resort. It feels like sorta way out, going to another island. But good thing, there is the hotel shuttle bus provided. & because the dress code is indicated in the invitation card as "Smart Casual", I don't have to don formal dress then & that means, I can just take MRT, not cab! Which is great judging from the increasing cab fares.:) I do hope the dinner commenced in time & end early, which is really rare in chinese wedding banquets. For one thing, Sindy's was that rare one!
I don't understand why can't the people arrive in time? Will it kill them? Ok, if it falls on a weekday, it is understandable coz' to rush down from work & all that. However, even in weekends, people are late! Its really a bad habit! I got overseas friends commented on this. :O

Well, hope I can enjoy the dinner, nevertheless. Will update tomorrow.

Have A Great & Restful Weekend to all!

Travel Yearning

It seems everyone whom I know of are going Holiday...that is, except me! Sob sob! :( My colleague, Sindy just got back from her romantic European Honeymoon. & shortly after that, my pal, Cindy will be going to Canada & U.S next week~! Oh man~! All I can do is to just basically watch helplessly as others go enjoy themselves...Sad! I can't help but to be envious. When will it be my turn...?

Actually, before CNY, my bro was planning to bring the whole family to Hokkaido but somehow, the timing wasn't right as last minute, he needed go on work trip. In the end, he gotta cancel the trip & my hopes were utterly dashed. Words couldn't describe how disappointed I was. I was initially extremely exhilatered & so looking forward for it but....sigh! Later on, my bro & my sis-in-law took the two little ones to Bali during March holiday. My mum & I didn't go as 1) we weren't that keen 2)They didn't ask us.

I was @Cindy's house few weeks ago & came to know from her Dad that he wanted to ask me along for their upcoming trip. I was both touched & sad. Touched is that Cindy's family actually thought of me. Sad is that I couldn't go becoz' of financial + other reasons. Cindy knew my situation & he explained to his Dad. I felt awkward also as it was considered a family trip as they will be going to visit Cindy's brother @U.S. Somehow, the timing just wasn't right. Half a year is almost gone, I don't know how much longer I need to wait. I'm just desperately in need of a holiday break now. Oh well, I just gotta trust in divine timing...& I really hope it will be sooner than I expect! :)

K Time!

This week was a good & short one coz' of Labour Day. :P How I wish every week is like this, it would be soooo ideal....work 4 days, 3 days long weekend....(dreaming away)Well, maybe not in S'pore but elsewere. I just heard that the U.S may consider a nationwide 4 day work week to reduce vehicles fuel comsumption, as a way to combat global warming. COOL! But with the suggested 10 working hours per day as to maintain productivity. A bit long though, I find. I reckon nothing is perfect though.

Anyway, Cindy & I went KBox last Friday. Really a great time to unwind & de-stress. :) @1st, the room we were in was really coooold & we couldn't bear it any longer & requested to change to another room. Good thing, the K server assistant was kind enough to bring us to another room- which was much, much better that in the end, I could just take my shawl off. We continued to choose our favourite songs to sing & enjoyed ourselves to the fullest! So the next session, I gotta wait till Cindy to come back from her U.S holiday then, 2 weeks later. I'll miss her. :( Hope she'll be able to buy lotsa goodies for me! hoho!

Iron Hero..!

Watched "Ironman" with Cindy yesterday. Thank God we were able to get the tics considered that it was the opening day for the movie. Coz' when we checked the GV webbie to see the available tics by afternoon, it was all sold out. However, I think they must have anticipated the crowd for such a major release, they opened up another hall. :) We were very blessed indeed to be able to catch the movie on opening day! Our 1st time! We caught the 6.55pm show @GV Jurong Point. We bought some food & 'smuggled' in the cinema theatre. :P

Ours were a corner seat. It was quite cramped & the seat somewhat averagely comfy. I must say I prefer the GV Vivocity though, with much spacious, ultra comfy seats & plenty of leg space. Anyway, we had not much choice but to choose here becoz of the convenient location & not forgetting our free tics~! HOho! But good thing, as it was a corner seat, we had lots of privacy & began munching our food when the lights went out as the show began.

It was a really good & entertaining movie & we much enjoyed it. Robert Downey Jr. was flawless in his role as the lead superhero, Ironman. He portrayed it so convincingly that you literally believed that HE IS Ironman! But won't risk to be stereotyped. Cindy commented that he looked cool with his goatee, which I couldn't agree more! I'm happy that Downey's movie career is back on track with this film. His chemistry with my favourite Gwyneth Paltrow was successful with sparks! :D The pace of the movie was fast & before I knew it, it had come to an end with 125minutes. Good. @least its not boring & draggy. Cindy found that it was exactly so comic-like! Yup. Staying true to the comic.

Well, I'm looking forward for the sequel....already....^_^
