Went the new Tampines Central Mall with Meiling-san yesterday. We had a good time eating & shopping, so wonderfully blessed everytime we're together! :) Its been ages since I last went there. Understandable coz staying in the west, normally I wouldn't go there for no reason or whatsoever. :P But its a refreshing experience to go different places once in awhile rather than the same old venue. I watched "Star Trek" in the morning @GV Tampines. Its been quite awhile since I last watched movie alone...its great! I enjoy the serenity & the peace of it. I reckon every now & then, its important that we have private time to ourselves, being alone, doing things alone. There's a time for everything- Time to be with our family & friends, Time to be alone & Time in touch with our Spiritually. Each is equally important, to me. The time has to be balanced out evenly. :)

Thank God I could really enjoy the movie Star Trek to the fullest! Zachary Quinto aka Sylar I must say, was really good in portraying the young Spock....he's really a perfect fit for the role...I mean, just look @him....so Spock alike! If u put him & the elder Spock, people might mistook them for being Father & Son! haha! Chris Pine was equally good in his role as the junior Kirk who later on became the famous Captain Kirk. He really added the extra touch, providing entertainment & comic relief to the audience, an interesting character, cheeky yet charming....:P He was a rebellious lad initially but later learnt to take on responsiblities. I guess people who are destined for greatness, need training. :) Then they can rise up to their full potential. Zachery Quinto & Chris Pine definitely got good chemistry & vibes in them, which I hope to see more in the next Star Trek movie to come. :D

I'm planning to go on a movie marathon this coming week - Angels & Demons & Night At The Museum 2! :P

Slumber Party Stay-cation!

I had the most fun weekend! It was our slumber party cum stay-cation! :) Annie & I enjoyed a night stay @Carlton Hotel with Sindy-san joining us for dinner. We checked in around 1.30pm & went shopping awhile before Annie went for Mass @the nearby church. I rested for awhile in the hotel. We met up with Sindy @8pm. The food was yummy & we really relished it. :) Afterwards, went for a drink & back to our room. It was so fun being together with the 2 Bellas. As i was a bit tipsy, my mind was quite a blur & couldn't really think & talk properly, of which I became quite a laughing stock...so embarrassing...haha!

This was my 1st time having a stay-cation & I must say, it was a good experience indeed. It was an absolutely way to have a short break close to home & just unwind & literally relax. :) I felt so refreshed afterwards!

I'm certainly looking forward to the next slumber party during X'mas! Yay!

Mommy Dearest Birthday Celebration & Bowling Time!

Had a fun time yesterday just chilling out with my family. We had lunch celebrating my mum's birthday @Warren Country Club's Yan Restaurant. Afterwards, after the boys' art class, we went back to the club for a game of bowling! Gosh, its been a year+ since I last played! Good thing, my bowling skills still considered not bad, after a bit of warm-up. I managed to get a few Spares & a Strike! :D Funny thing, everytime I play bowling, I could always get @least 1 Strike...Woo Hoo! It was fun playing with Linus & Lucius. I guess after training from Wii Play, they were quite good too~! :)

After dinner, its the boy's favourite Cake Time! My bro sang the birthday song together with us via Skye, really heart-warming. :) Happy & Blessed Birthday, dear Mama! May u always be healthy & full of life, & happy!

Exercise...finally!

Recently went for my company's health check up & realised that I've put on weight! & a considerable 5kg! OMG! Actually, the night before the check-up, I already checked it using Joan's weighing machine. I got a rude shock when I saw my weight on the display screen~! I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought the weighing machine was spoilt or battery low or something. I even asked my nephews to weigh on it to make sure. Their weight seemed accurate. Ok, I tried not to panic & just wait for the check-up the next day.

When I stood on the weighing machine & the person read out my weight, I was utterly shocked & my heart fainted, a 2nd time....a 2nd blow! It was exactly the same! :( I couldn't believe that I could put on so much weight in a year's time! I guess I really neglected it all & didn't control my diet & exercise regularly. There's no excuse for it. Sigh! But the funny thing is that there was no tell-tale signs @all! I didn't feel my clothes or pants any tighter! :O However later on, I asked Hannah & she said my face did got a bit rounder & body fleshier. Sad! But Sindy find that I look better now, with more flesh, which I agree. Anyhow, I still must lose weight, @least 3-5kg, to be in the ideal weight category. Thank God, I finally got to go jogging yesterday, after so many months. Coz before that, my gastric was constantly giving me problems & I was feeling really lethargic because of that. :( It sure felt good after a good sweat & exercise! :) I feel more energized & fresh. By God's Grace, I hope to continue this like what I used to, in a regular basis, to have a healthy lifestyle! :D Yay~!

Shop, Eat, Chat!

I had the most fabulous long weekend. Took a day's leave last Friday to meet up with Ivy. With her, it was so fun, I always manage to buy nice clothes- this time round I got 3 dresses, 2 skirts, 2 nail polishes, a 3 in 1 multi-purpose cosmetic set from Faceshop & a nice pair of red retro shoes! Oooooh, I like them all! :D Ivy-san bought a pair of bangles which she absolutely love, which a little help from me, to choose for her. :P & with a very good deal. Its really theraputic....to shop! & eat + chat as well...together, a perfect combination. Most importantly, its the companion that really matters. :) & God is so good, He blesses me with with fruitful friendships!

After a long Friday, I continued my 2nd part of my long weekend with Ms Genevieve Annie Bella yesterday. :) We watched "Wolverine: X Men Origins". It was a much-awaited movie. But like like Ms Gene said which I agreed, somehow we expect more from it, but actually its about the Origins of X-Men, so not much of the fighting & the cool powers of the individual X-Men is shown, except for Wolverine of course. But one thing commendable is that the movie remained true to the original comic. I reckon because Stan Lee, the Marvel comic Guru is the Executive Producer & he oversees every detail of the shooting of the movie, which is good. & a pleasant surprise to know that "Wolverine" Hugh Jackman is one of the producers. :) So this time he really get to be involved in the whole movie.

After our movie, we proceeded to CityLink to for our tea break & its shopping time! It was not long after that we passed by a boutique, Gene Bella spotted a blouse which the mannequin was wearing which she said was 'so me'. The yellow blouse is lovely but in the end, I bought the cardigan instead, which I needed for my new dresses. :P Gene gotta control herself for impulse buying when she saw some pretty shoes & dresses, haha! Me too. I guess most guys will never understand why us ladies simply love shopping so much, its just like we might not understand why most of them adore soccer & I.T gadgets so much. Hoho~! Anyway, I finally plucked up the courage to wear one of my favourite blouses. I got to only wear it once previously, to church. I simply love the cheerful colour tones. But it was kinda low-cut, so I didn't really dare to wear it so often. However, if I don't wear it now, then when? I gotta thank Sindy-san too, for her advice, which kept ringing in my ears. hehe! Dare to wear, dare to be different...Yay!

Joan came over with Linus & Lucius for dinner today, & the 2 boys wished Ah Ma & Great Aunt Happy Mother's Day. & sweet Lucius wished me too....I told him I'm not a mother yet but I thanked him anyhow. :D

May Day May Day

Spent the whole of the May Day Long Weekend resting @home. :O I was down with sore throat, cough & slight flu. I was fine throughout the week, however, after us 3 Bellas outing on Wednesday, I woke up the next day with very dry throat. Then towards the weekend, I started getting very uncomfortable. It was a good 3 day rest & break, coz I think my mum is right, I've been going out a bit too often recently, + the late nights, accumulated, & I guess its my body's way of warning signal & telling me to have a good rest. & + with the recent Influenza 1 & all that, its better to be cautious. Thank God there's no reported case in S'pore, & I hope it stays that way. I realize the world is really getting unsafe to live in these days. :O With all the sex & violence going on these days, global warming & now with a string of viruses. :(

Mankind has done way too much exploitation to the Earth & now Its really May Day May Day call~! Its time we wake up & cherish what God has given us.

Take That Forever!

One of my favourite bands in the world, Take That recently released a new album - The Circus. No, not the Britney Spear's one. :O They are adopting a more clean-cut & mature image now, compared to Ms Spears who is continuing her 'sex selling' formula.

To me, TT represents not only another boy-band, they reminded me of my fond memories during secondary school days, especially with my friendship blossoming becoz' of them with my buddy, Shida. We literally could just talk about them non-stop every day - I would just enjoy talking about my favourite band member, Robbie Williams & Shida, of course her ultimate favourite, Jason Orange! We would enjoy laughs & joke about them. Those were the fun days! Few people could understand our passion towards them, I reckon. We basically grew together with them, maturing with them. After so many years, I'm so happy that most of them have settled down & with kids (except Jason). Robbie though already left TT, to us, he'll always be an integral part of the band. He too, found the love of his life, his soulmate @ the U.S.A. :) Thank God, he mellowed down alot & discarded his havoc days.

Well, I just started listening to the new album now & I really like what I hear. Its a bit different from their previous album"Beautiful World". Mr Orange finally got the chance to sing solo with the song "Wooden Boat" but the new album, I was quite disappointed coz I didn't get to hear him sing this time round. :( I like his voice, & poor him, being describing as 'croaking like a toad' previously...haha! He has a voice real suited to sing accoustic, country-like songs. I guess becoz he enjoys & plays the guitar well. :) Little Markie got to sing most of the songs in the new album, with Dada Howard & Gary singing a few. Keep it up, Markie! :D Its great that they get to be involved in their music now, rather than being heavily controlled of their every move by that previous manager of theirs, Nigel Smith or Nigel Chicken, more adorably known as.....haha! I guess thats the major reason that Robbie left, he just couldn't take it anymore. However, I realized out of the band members, he's the most successful to launch his solo career. He couldn't really shine with his talents becoz of restrictions in TT but its amazing to know & see how really talented he is, he's so good with poems, song-writing! The rest, not so, their success come from being in TT rather than solo, I reckon.

I just hope that they will continue to make good music in years to come & maybe a reunion concert with Robbie, as the original 5 piece band. :) God bless them all!
