Decisions that changes course in Life

I was reading "Her World" the other day & came across a very interesting section about Life-changing Decisions & choices made by different women. One of them chose to get married after 1 month whirlwind romance! Wow! It really takes courage to make this decision indeed. She got to know her husband @a Valentine's Day dinner. After meeting up for the 2nd time, sparks fly as they got the chance to get into in-depth conversation with each other & from there, she realised that he's her soulmate & he's everything that she's looking for. So sweet! :) People used to say that love takes time, u gotta really know a person well before u can make the choice. But as i grow older, I realized that not necessarily. Everyone of us are unique & different, & different things works for us differently. Some in this lady's case, she found true love in a very short span of time & decided to spend the rest of her life with him. & they have a whole lifetime to get to know each other. Life is a journey, marriage as well. The only difference is in this journey, there's someone special going through together with you. :) & it should be an adventure- discovering more about each other, doing things together, spending special times with each other, getting to know each other daily & most of all, growing & progressing together.

Another woman made the choice to - cancel her wedding plans. She & her boyfriend of many years initially decided to get married & in the midst of the wedding preparations, she realized that because of her relationship, she neglected & lost touch with many of her friends. In the end, she made the ultimate decision to cancel her wedding. She said that though he'll make a good husband, but somehow he's not the Right One for her. After breaking up, she felt a complete sense of relief & a burden lifted up. Though she's single, she's happier now & gets to spend time catching up with her friends. Another 2 women- 1 chose not to have children. She chose to travel around the world with her husband in their yacht, which I think is so cool, a common dream! Many might said that she's selfish but she feels that if she were to have children & unable to take care of them, will make her even more selfish, which I agree! She said her only regret is not able to be a mother. Well, there are Pros & Cons I guess. In order to achieve their dream, sacrifices needed to be made. Another woman, the complete opposite of her - she decided to have many children, a total of 8! A real rarity in modern Singapore! But for one thing, she & her husband professionals so $$$ shouldn't be much a problem. The children's ages range from 11 to 21! Initially she wanted a perfect 10, but because she's already almost 50 years, she ended @8. A good number too. :P She said that it gives her satisfaction being a mother.

Interesting people making interesting decisions, life-changing ones. The decision we make, made us. :)
