This Is It!

Long Live the King of Pop! Enjoyed MJ's "This Is It" to the maximum-
with wide screen & superb sound system! Shiok! Hannah & I watched @GV Max, Vivocity...simply amazing! Where else to watch MJ's movie! :)

It was so elevating to see a different side of MJ- a humane side, which the media & paparrazi never touched on. Despite his superstar status, he was humble. He did not behave like a 'diva' or anything like that. He was nice to the concert crew- the dancers, the musicians etc. Even if he needed to do some corrections, he did it with love, not judging nor condemnation. He was @times funny too. He had such creativity in him, just bursting & oozing out of him. He was involved in almost everything- he chose the dancers, gave comments on the concert videos that were made, choreographed the dance moves, communicated with the musicians - fine tuning his music the way he wanted as it is in the record, for the fans to enjoy. He knows the rhythms to his songs well. He must have done a upteen times but you could see that he still did everything with passion. He gave his very best, a perfectionist.

What I like about MJ's music is that his was not the typical 'black' kind of music - Rap, Hip Hop, R&B. His music ranged from Motown, ballads, techno, house edged new jack swing to work that incorporates funk rhythms & hard rock guitar. Sounds interesting, refreshing & creative. The Jacksons family for one thing, aren't like any typical black family @all. I guess that explains MJ's musical tastes. His earlier music was more of breakthrough though. Later on, he didn't seem to be able to repeat the success of "Thriller" & "Bad". Maybe he was having writer's block? :P
Back to the movie. Many of the viewers were singing along with MJ's songs, including me. @the end of the movie, most of us applauded! Watching "This Is It", it really feels like MJ is much alive- he lives in our hearts...FOREVER!
