I was facinated by this infectious tune originally sang by Chow Yun Fatt years ago taken from his movie of the same name. Why was I suddenly so attracted to this tune? Well, it all started out my Macau trip with Ivy & Bernard. Bernard sang the chorus out, changing the lyrics, sounding absolutely hilarious! I didn't think much of it afterwards till recently, SCV is showing "老公萬歲" (My Better Half), a new TVB drama starring my favourite Maggie Cheung Ho Yee & Miu Qiu Wai. Its about a very timid husband who married a very fierce wife. Chow's classic version was about a man who had two wives & how he managed to live through without them finding out about each other. The moment I heard the theme song, I thought,"Why does it sound so familiar?" I suddenly remembered! I was like,"This is actually a song???? I thought it was a tune Bernard just hummed it out of nowhere. I asked him. & he mentioned its from a Chow Yun Fatt movie. Ivy said that Bernard is always full of funny ideas, singing perculiar songs & changing the lyrics. Gosh, Haha!
I then searched through YouTube to find the movie, of the scene where Chow Yun Fatt sang the classic song. He sang it so candidly! I prefer his version! Gimme anytime, I'll laugh throughout. :D Well, I gotta thank TVB & especially Bernard for bringing out the song again. :P
