Weekend Wedding

Attended one of my poly classmates, Lin's wedding yesterday, on a very hot scorching day! Thank God it was held @Jurong Spring CC, fully air-conditioned inside the hall! Or else, I sure pengz. :O
Supposingly 4 of us going but in the end, only me & Jessie turned up. Patrick & John last minute couldn't make it. I was really contemplating to give the ang bao & go straight home if necessary if i was alone. Good thing, Jessie joined me. :)
Overall, I had a good time. Saw Lyn's mum, dear lady, didn't see for quite awhile. I used to like going Lyn's place to savour her mum's chicken wings for Raya! I missed it! I would love to visit her again before Lyn goes off to Germany for good on June. Lyn looked absolutely gorgeous & lovely! A beautiful bride indeed! & of course, her German hubby, looked smart in the malay traditional wedding costume. But he looked kinda awkward though. I reckon he must be too nervous or something. Many of Lyn's foreign friends came by just to attend her wedding, so nice of them! & Wearing the baru gurong. :P
It was my 1st time watching the full traditional procedure, the silat dance etc. so interesting! Took many pics. Managed to take a pic with the handsome couple, nice!
I wish them blissful marriage! & I hope to visit Lyn in Germany soon! :D

Revival of Nihon Cinema!

This must be the year whereby the most number of Japanese movies are released in the local theatres! To date, so far I've watched 3 Japanese movies - K-20, Suspect-X & Departures. K-20, I'll give 6 stars out of 10. A passing rate for entertainment. & most gals will drool over Mr Takeshi K Haha! The story plot was kinda like Robin Hood wannabe. Interesting @1st but towards the end, it got so draggy! Ooowww! I was literally dozing off. I find that many movies tend to be like this, is it to stall time, I wonder? Suspect X was much, much better. For one thing, I've followed through the drama series. & secondly, Fukuyama Masaharu! :D & Kou Shibasaki of course. Both my favourite Japanese actors. However, I find the spotlight kinda was taken away by the outstanding acting of Shinichi Tsutsumi, as the aloof Math Genius. I was hoping to see more sparks between FM & KS character but in vain. :( Overall, 7 stars out 10. :)
The best has got to be the most recent one that I watched "Departures". Oscar winning foreign film & they truly deserved to win! Very meaningful & inspirational with the taboo topic of death, wakes & funerals. However, after watching this beautiful movie, your opinion will definitely change, I know I did! :) I never know that Death can be so beautifully portrayed. It signifies that the passing on of a person is not the end. Its the beginning. :) Kudos to the revival of Nihon Cinema!

Love Halo!

Recently, I just fell in love with this Beyonce's song! Its so inspiring with meaningful lyrics. I'm certainly waiting for my angel whom He blesses, to be a blessing to me, standing in the light of his halo. :)

Halo By Beyonce

Remember those walls I built
Well baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make a sound
I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now

It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breaking
It's the risk that I'm taking
I ain't never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

[Chorus: x2]
I can feel your halo (halo)
halo I can see your halo (halo) halo

Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want

Think I'm addicted to your light
I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me to the ground again
Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breaking
The risk that I'm taking
I'm never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

[Chorus: x3]
Halo [Repeat: x3]

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

Good Friday Morning Walk

It was hot & humid Good Friday morning after showers earlier on. Our caregroup organized a walk @Labrador Nature Reserve. I heard of the Park before but clueless of the location. I never know there are so many Parks in Singapore. :P It was an interesting place. Similar to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. We had a good time exercising & fellowshipping. A meaningful way to spend Good Friday morning. :)
