Watched the Pixar film "Up" yesterday with Annie, in 3D format....it was fabulous! It was my 1st time watching a movie in 3D & it was real cool. Of course before that, I've also watched Science Centre shows in 3D, years ago.
"Up" is a simple story yet funny & touching @the same time. It's about this retired balloon salesman, Carl Fredicksen who after the passing on of his beloved wife, decided to embark on a journey to Paradise Hill @South America with thousands of balloons attached onto his house, partly the reason to save his house from being torn down by sly developers. So when he thought he could have some peaceful & quiet time to fulfil his wife's dream, he got stuck unwillingly with 1 young explorer, Russell. A talkative boy...haha! & later on, with the companionship of a talking dog, Doug & an ostrich like colourful bird whom Russell named Kevin (which later on, he found out that it was a female.)From grouchy old man, he gradually changed to a more warm & approachable person, after reading his wife's Adventure book, who thanked him for the adventure & encouraged him to start a new one. My favourite part, I'm sure with the same of many, was Carl reminiscing the wonderful memories of the time spent together with his wife, Ellie. Touching scenes. They enjoyed the simple things in life, just being there for each other. The simple things in life, but yet neglected by many. Couples should watch this movie, to learn to cherish each other. Highly Recommended. :)
I laughed & I almost cried. (Trying hard to fight back on my tears, choked back as a result..haha) & the most fun with watching on 3D, wearing the given-3D specs...absolute fun! :D
I realized there are many 1st times for me this year...hmnnn...I wonder what's next? :P
