Spent a fun afternoon with fun company @Great World City GV yeserday with Sindy, Cindy, Rebecca & Shireen. All of us got free tics from our channel partner, Fox Int'l Channel to the private screening of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". In conjunction to our Family Day as well. There were games & prizes to be won. The gals & I tried the Brush Tattoo Art, it was whole lots fun though we queued up for pretty long time.
By 5pm sharp, we settled in the theatre to watch the movie. This instalment of the P.O.T.C franchise, Orlando Bloom & Keira Knightly are clearly absent from the movie as the story goes on without them. All focus is @of course, Johnny Depp reprising the role of the beloved & hilarious Captain Jack Sparrow. This film anyhow is still good, I give 4popcorns out of 5popcorns. Johnny Depp's chemistry with Geoffrey Rush (who played his nemsis, Captain Hector Barbossa) gets on better with every adventure.
What strucks me in this instalment is a pair of unusual couple- Philip & Syrena. Philip is a Missionary whose on a mission of salvation. Despite being captured by the notorious Captain Blackbeard, his spirit remains unbroken. But something stirs inside his heart & soul when he encounters the mermaid he calls Syrena. Love. :) Syrena is a beautiful & enigmatic mermaid who is unlike her lethal-minded sisters of the sea. She & Philip realized they have a common quality in each other which draws them together. A lovestory in the midst of the pirates' adventure. welcoming. ;) The mermaids are really beautiful, not only the men thought so, even us ladies as well. Beautiful but dangerous. The sailors after luring the mermaids out, were bewitched & struck by the creatures' beauty, one of which said he's in love. Haha! I realized most men cannot resist beauty& what is feasting to their eyes. 自古以来,英雄难逃美人关,男人总是沉郁美色.
