我发觉人往往多多少少都会口是心非。有时候，有些亲朋好友之前说的一些话，当我后来再提起时，他们会说他们没说过或者他们忘记了或者他们改变想法了。很奇怪！不过，察觉自己，我是否也是这样呢？Or because most of us have selective memories? The happy things that we are looking forward to, we will choose to remember every detail about it. Likewise, the unhappy things, we will choose to forget subconsciously. Or most of us, our mindsets are subject to changes constantly, depending on our state of minds & the life experiences we are going through? That reminds me of a conversation I had with my colleague recently. He said that he always tell his daughters that our taste changes with time, when we're younger, we might like certain food/things/clothes etc, however when we grow older, our taste might change again. He went on to say the reason many Westerners married late is because they wait till their mindset hit maturity,then they settled down. Coz by then, for sure, they would know exactly what they want in choosing a life partner. I totally agree. I realized it myself that my preference in many things, like for example - 10years ago versus 10years later, changes.
I realized also its important to know exactly what we want, coz it will affect in the decisions we make. & thats where the thinking part comes in. Sometimes, thinking helps! :D There are some things in life which we really need to think about. Coz many a time, we just keep on going in life without realizing why on earth we do it certain things the 1st place. 为了什么而活呢？Especially for me, things must make sense to me. If it doesn't make sense, why should I do it in the 1st place? :O
I also think that the reason people might not mean what they say many a time is because they are not focused enough. They get easily distracted, overly emotional to make a irrational decision/choice, hence, that's why people think that especially in choosing life partners, we ended up choosing the opposite of the type we like. Or some people may debate saying that opposites attract mah...haha!
