Went for dental check-up today. Gosh, the last time that I went was donkey years ago....believe it or or, since Primary School! :O The dentist or should I say nurse would randomly picked few of us to the school dental clinic for a routine check-up every now & then. I remembered the atmosphere was always exceptional cold & lifeless, plus the cold, unfeeling & not so gentle nurse, worsen it all.
My appointment was 9am. I reached the clinic a quarter to 9, I was early. :) I was feeling rather nervous. I tried extremely hard to recall my last dental experience @school.
The doctor arrived on time on the spot. It was a male dentist, a rather good-looking one. :P Thats odd, coz' I thought I had specifically made an appointment with the female dentist as recommended by Sindy. Oh well, as long as he is good.
The handsome bespectacled dentist greeted me & beckoned me to sit on the dental chair. I was rather overwhelmed when he took out his 'weapon' to start washing my teeth, especially with the sound of it, oh my! Sounds like a driller or something, rather scary! At first, I opened my eyes wide to witness every procedure but after awhile, I figured out it would be better & wiser if I closed my eyes instead. It was a good decision. I felt more relaxed! :D
Oh man! It was quite painful when he washed my lower teeth, which was rather sensitive. He spent quite some time on it. At the end of it all, he told me both of my centre lower teeth have little stone particles caused by bacteria & as a result of not proper brushing. I was very relieved when he said it would not result in tooth decay. coz' I don't want to be 'Bo Ge'. (teethless in Hokkien) :O Dr Lim added that overall, there's no problem in my teeth & taught me the correct way to brush my teeth.
The ordeal was finally over after 25 mins but it seemed like forever...haha! I felt really thankful. It was rather overwhelming at first but with the handsome & gentle dentist, made the experience not so bad after all! ;)
